Hmong International Film maker Organization (HIFO) launched its vision and mission on April 17, 2009 in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota. There were more than 150 people included Hmong actors, actresses, singers, movie producers, and directors attended the event.  Jame Vang, Vice President of of HIFO, said “this event is to launch HIFO”.  There are currently 11 total Hmong movie productions are part of HIFO. 

HIFO’s mission is to develop, improve, and enhance the quality of Hmong films that make and sell to the Hmong community throughout the nation and other related countries.  To train and advise the amateur Hmong producers to have: picture quality, sound quality, lighting control, acting and directing, content quality, funding availability for both private investors and federal funding.
